Wild Action’s educational incursions bring live native Australian animals directly to your venue, from early learning centres through to secondary schools.

What Happens on the Day
A Wild Action zoologist arrives at your school or centre fully equipped, animals included.
Once set up, they guide your students through a hands-on session built around the animals they’ve brought, covering each species’ behaviour, biology and conservation, along with the stories behind them.
We adjust each educational incursion to suit your audience, usually running between 45 minutes and two hours. Animals featured across our programs include reptiles like pythons and blue-tongue lizards, marsupials, native birds, and invertebrates. Every animal is carefully selected for temperament and comfort around groups, and every interaction is supervised by trained wildlife handlers.

Wild Action was founded in 1994 by Chris Humfrey, a tertiary-qualified zoologist with more than 30 years of experience delivering wildlife education across Victoria. We are the largest provider of wildlife educational incursions in the state, and that reputation has been built one school visit at a time.
Our presenters do far more than share their love of animals. They’re qualified zoologists and trained wildlife handlers who know how to engage a classroom of five-year-olds just as effectively as a room full of Year 10 biology students.
