Work at his very own private zoo, and learn from Chris himself! Get up close and personal with over 2000 animals!

Discover what drives Chris to work with animals. Who know’s your child could follow in his footsteps! This is an exceptional hands-on experience, which is offered no where else. Where is the workshop held?

Chris Humfrey’s Junior Zoo Keeper workshop is held at Wild Action ZooHQ in the picturesque forested hamlet of Macedon, Victoria 3440.

The location is a comfortable 50 minute drive North from Melbourne CBD. Why not relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of City Life, and let us give your Child the best wildlife day ever!

How many children participate?

Due to the wildly interactive nature of our special day. A maximum of 12 children participate in our zoo keeper workshops. We pride ourselves on providing an exclusive unparalleled animal experience.

What is the age limit?

We allow school aged children from the ages of 6 years to 17 years to participate in the day’s activities. Because of the small numbers of children participating, age variation in the workshop is never a problem. We have a 1:3 Team member:student ratio. No one misses out on with Chris’ exclusive experience. The day is geared towards ‘animal-mad’ kids who have a real passion to work with wildlife.

What is the duration of the workshop?

The day commences at 10am after a ‘meet and greet’ with Parents, Team members and Junior Zoo Keeper participants, and concludes at 4pm.

What is the cost of the program?

Chris Humfrey’s Junior Zoo Keeper workshop costs $400 inc. of GST per child.

How do you book your child in?

Simply click on the booking WeTeachMe widget on this page. Select your preferred date and make payment. All of the necessary information regarding indemnity forms, personal information and medical forms will be emailed out to you.

Do parents or guardians participate?

Parents and Guardians do not participate in the days activities. Your Child must be able to independently work away from their Family environment. Rest assured, all of our Team are full-time employees and have Working with Children Checks. The day is conducted in a group, led by Chris Humfrey.

Parents and guardians do not participate in the activities, allowing children to explore and learn in a safe environment independently.
